One of the most exciting aspects of Arizona youth soccer is the youth soccer tournament system. In these tournaments boys and girls from many places come together to play competitive soccer and have an enjoyable experience. Usually tournaments last a couple days up to a couple weeks. Most tournaments occur on weekends and last two to three days, where teams play three to six games on average. Youth soccer tournaments are usually the highlight of any season and of of the primary focus points for a youth soccer season. For the more competitive teams these tournaments can be anywhere in the country and sometimes anywhere in the world. The recreational teams typically play more local tournaments which are fun and a great experience as well.
Most youth soccer clubs cap their season with a state cup championship competition. This is generally where the best teams in the state, boys and girls, compete against their age and gender group to determine the state cup champion. Often times these champions are invited to represent their state in a regional and potentially a national competition. Essentially, this is the climax of the season and virtually every competitive youth soccer club prepares to perform on this stage. |
